St. James parish youth donate to Nima Government Clinic

The youth of St. James Catholic Church in Osu have donated Personal Protective Equipment to the Nima Government Clinic in Accra on Easter Monday, April 5, 2021.

The equipment donated includes tissue papers, hand sanitizers, veronica buckets, bucket stands, nose masks, and liquid soaps. The team also provided the clinic with disposable gowns and coats, gloves, goggles, urine bags and syringes.

The chairperson of the youth council, Ms. Afua Obenewaa Aidoo, explained the motive behind the gesture. According to her, the youth decided to reach out to a community that needed help as part of their Lenten observance.

She added that the council opted for Nima Clinic for the donation because of its strategic location and the need to protect both workers and patients there.

Receiving the items on behalf of the staff of the clinic was the Senior Medical Officer in charge, Dr. Alexander Balinia Adda. Dr. Adda was grateful to the team for their kind gesture and appealed to the parish, other organisations and individuals for more support especially in their quest to acquire an ultra-modern labour bed for the maternity ward.
