Magaret Marquart Catholic Hospital gets accreditation to run diploma in nursing

The Magaret Marquart Catholic Hospital in Kpando has gotten the green light by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) to run diploma courses in Registered General Nursing effective January 1, 2020.

The school will be affiliated with the University for Development Studies.

A letter sighted by Angelus News indicates that the accreditation was granted at the 116th meeting of NAB held on March 28-29, 2019. The hospital will now operate as a private tertiary institution in Ghana.

”The National Accreditation Board (NAB) at its 116th meeting held on March 28-29, 2019
approved the grant of a three (3) – year institutional accreditation to Margaret Marquart Catholic
Nursing Training College, Kpando to operate as a private tertiary institution in Ghana with effect
from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2022,”

”The Board’s approval comes into effect following the grant of accreditation to your institution to
run the Diploma in Registered General Nursing programme at its 120″ meeting held on December
19-20, 2019,” the letter stated.

The letter, however, added that the new institution will before the third year of running apply for a renewal of açcredidation.

”Margaret Marquart Catholic Nursing Training College, Kpando should note that one (1) year to
the expiry date of the stated period of accreditation, it should apply for the renewal of the
institution’s accreditation,” the letter said.
