A cheque of Ghs 25,000.00 and various items were presented by Rev. Fr. Fr. Campbell, stating his mission, said, “I am here this morning to give my widow’s mite to the people who are suffering. I watch Citi TV on the news every night, and my heart bleeds for these people who are suffering.”
The Father Campbell SVD Foundation included bags of rice, gari, sugar, boxes and gallons of oil, buckets of washing powder, gas stoves, toilet rolls, and bags of water as part of the donation.
Fr. Campbell urged all Ghanaians to contribute and support relief efforts for the people in the lower Volta.
He also took the opportunity to invite everyone to the Christ the King parish hall, Cantonments, Accra on Sunday, December 3, 2023, for a musical concert and fundraising event to build a kitchen for the cured lepers in Weija.
