REV. FR. ERIC OPOKU ANING VISITS AND DONATES TO PRISONERS TO MARK HIS BIRTHDAY

Rev. Fr. Eric Opoku Aning, Parish Priest of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Atebubu in the Techiman Diocese, has marked his birthday with a visit and the celebration of the Holy Mass with inmates and Officers of Ejura-Nkwanta Prisons camp.

Rev. Fr. Aning, who will be nine years as a priest this year said that this donation was his appreciation to God for adding another year to his age and he believes that the best way to show such an appreciation was to spend the day with the inmates and give them hope.

The Catholic Priest who is also a lecturer at the Atebubu College of Education encouraged the inmates to take the training being given to them at the correctional center seriously because their future, should they be released, will depend on these training.

Rev. Fr. Aning donated bags of rice, sugar, tubers of yam, provisions, foodstuffs, drinks, and toiletries to the inmates.

He blessed and express gratitude to all who supported his gesture in cash or kind saying: “I’m grateful to my friends, some Parishioners, and some of my students who supported me.”
