First phase of Accra Archdiocese book fair launched

The Mission Office of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra yesterday launched the first phase of its book fair at Christ the King parish, Cantonments to the change the face of evangelism in the Archdiocese.

Rev Fr Patrick Tindana, director in charge of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra’s mission office explains the book fair is meant to create awareness about Christ through dialoguing and exploring Christian literature and other educational materials.

He further noted that the number of people who patronized the event outweighed his expectation and this will propel his outfit embark on more of such programs to spread the gospel.
“It was more than I expected because certainly I didn’t know how people receive it and my expectation has been met,” he said.

According to some participants at the launch, the campaign was a good initiative that will enlighten their understanding of Christ. They further said that they were able to pick books from various categories that will help them in their educational lives.

The next phase of the book fair would be held on December 15, 2019, at St Paul’s Catholic church, Kpehe.
