Excitement galore as Taifa receives first Pastor tomorrow

Angelus News has sighted exciting messages on social media as parishioners of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Taifa officially receives its first pastor tomorrow.

Information gathered by Angelus News indicates that the Taifa commandery of the Knights of St. John international and ladies Auxiliary  earlier this morning had a parade rehearsals in preparedness of the what many parishioners have described as a big day tomorrow

Former priest in charge of the St. Dominic Community, Fr. Emmanuel Obeng Codjoe in a Facebook post described  Fr. Arthur as a sweet and fragrant gift of God to the Church.

“A sweet and fragrant gift of God to the St. Dominic Parish, Taifa. Behold! Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Arthur, our First Parish Priest,” he said.

In early September 2019, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie appointed Fr. Joseph Arthur as first Parish priest of the Church in Taifa.

He worked at st. Peter’s Catholic Church, Osu following his first appointment. He was later transfered to St. kizito Catholic Church, Nima and was appointed Financial Administrator for the Archdiocese of Accra where he has been working for thirteen years.

He served on the Advisory Board of the Catholic Action for Street children, (CAS) a Ghanaian charity which advises and educate children from the street in Accra-Ghana.
