St. Mark Catholic Church, Ashongman Estates, Accra, has launched its 25 years of existence with tributes pouring out to great men and women whose courage and goodwill led to the establishment of the church in 1995.
Mr. Boniface Dakorah, the Chairman of the Anniversary Planning Committee, together with the Priest-in-charge of the church, Rev. Fr. Francis Oteng-Bawuah and the members of the Pastoral Council encouraged all parishioners to devote their time, unwavering hope and the burning desire to making the celebration a success and to seeing God’s Word take root in the Ashongman community.
Tributes also went to the founding priests from Queen of Peace Parish, Madina, Rev. Fr. Mouldes and the late Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. Dominic Andoh, for giving his blessing and support for the establishment of the church.
The year-round celebration has the theme “The Good News of Jesus Christ; celebrating our past, committing to the future”.
