The Most Rev. Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD, of the Catholic Diocese of Keta-Akatsi in the Volta Region on Wednesday the 29th day of December, 2021 ordained three seminarians into the Order of the diaconates.
Rev. Maxwell Etsey Adzogble is a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Tegbi, Rev. Wisdom Amegble, a parishioner from Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Dzodze, and Rev. Seth Tuagbor, a parishioner of Christ the King Cathedral, Akatsi were ordained into the Order of the Diaconate in a solemn and simple ceremony.
The ceremony which was restricted to only immediate families of the brothers and few Priests due to covid 19 took place at the Catholic Pastoral center, Akatsi Torve.
The Bishop in his homily admonished the candidates to see their new role as a call to service and should avail themselves to be servant of servants to the faithful they will be leading.
The candidates resolved to maintain and deepen the spirit of prayer and also celebrate the liturgy with the faithful people of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
They finally promise obedience and respect to the Bishop and all his successors.
