Caritas Ghana champions E-Waste management

The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie (CSSp), will on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 man an inaugural ceremony at the Holy Spirit Cathedral-Adabraka to instate Caritas Ghana which operates under the National Catholic Secretariat under the theme “Care For Our Home”.

Archbishop Kwofie among other activities lined up for the day, will also launch an e-waste project aimed at contributing to the management of e-waste in Ghana. This project forms part of Caritas Ghana’s contribution to making operational the encyclical “Laudato Si” which was issued by Pope Francis with focus on care for the environment.

Caritas Ghana is a Charity Organization of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC) and member of the global Caritas Confederation of 165 Catholic relief, development and social service organisations operating in over 200 countries and territories worldwide. Collectively and individually, their claimed mission is to work to build a better world, especially for the poor and oppressed.
