YOUNG MISSIONARIES OF KEEPING JESUS ALIVE FOUNDATION CELEBRATE FIVE (5) YEARS OF CATHOLIC EVANGELIZATION

Mobilization of young Catholics for evangelization activities, especially in remote communities for five (5) years now, has been an assignment well done by a group of vibrant staunch young Catholics by name Keeping Jesus Alive Foundation. This movement is unusual among catholic youth especially in Ghana. By the help of the Holy Spirit, this group of young Catholics have visited many families, villages and towns with the gospel of Christ within the Koforidua Diocese till date. Sending the good news to wherever human life is and bringing all Catholics both young and old, literate and illiterate across the globe on the path of evangelization and soul winning, is a paramount aim of the Foundation.

Evangeli Nuntiadi #11, a portion of the Catholic Church’s document on evangelization states that, “the church exists to evangelize” and affirmed by Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and of the Holy Spirit” gives all Catholics the assignment to win souls for Christ and his holy church. This life touching and joyful missionary responsibility is not limited the priests and religious, but to every child of God for the sake of one’s individual salvation.

In light of this, the climax of the Foundation’s 5th year Anniversary celebrations in 2021 took place at Akrusu and was hosted by St. Augustine Catholic Church, Asesewa in the Koforidua Diocese of the Church. KJAF is structured to have four (4) outreaches in a year; (2) week long and (2) weekend community outreaches respectively. They have so far, operated in the Koforidua Diocese sending the Gospel to some Parishes and their Out Stations from 2016 to 2021.

KJAF aims to win souls for Christ and his holy church by impacting them to be transformed and be “the light of the world and salt of the earth”. To share the life of Christ that he may be in all and equip the Catholic Youth to evangelize. Additionally, to empower and encourage catholic students to uphold their catholic faith through campus Evangelization and to support the needy. KJAF membership is free for every baptized practicing Catholic. The foundation has almost solely depended on free will donations from members and a few benefactors.
