Mother Africa suffered enough in her quest to achieve freedom for her children. If xenophobia was the future she dreamt of, she would not have fought to the point of sacrificing some of those who came before us to save her integrity and peace.
Hospitality to all remains one of Africa’s enviable traits making the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa a huge stain in the maternal gown of Africa. We should not be known for violence or any form of hostility. The current situation in South Africa is no exception.
We should embrace people of all origins with peace and love. We ask all voices to unite with ours in the song of oneness – umoja! May the Peace of Christ prevail over South Africa and Africa in general. We are for PEACE.
