‘The Woman clothed with the Sun: Litany of Mother Mary’ to be launched on September 29

One thing that helps faithfuls to gain more knowledge about activities in the church and build their spirituality is Christian literature. Rev. Fr. Stephen Kofi Sakpaku in his bid to enlighten faithfuls is set to launch a book he titles ‘The Woman clothed with the Sun: Litany of Mother Mary on Sunday September 29, 2019 at Mary Mother Of Good Counsel school hall, Airport West, Accra. The event would be graced by the Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. J. B. Kwofie.

Part of the foreword of the book reads: ‘Christians over the centuries have developed different ways of honouring the Blessed Virgin Mary.  The praying of the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary is one of such ways.  Her Litany is often prayed with the Rosary with which they form an almost inseparable association like the two sides of a coin.’

Rev. Sakpaku highlights the glorious honour that God has bestowed on Mother Mary, an explanation of the meaning of the term “litany”, the structure of litanies in general and the six themes under which the various invocations of the Litany of Mary could be grouped and this is explored in five different chapters.
