The Noble June Borns family on the 10th July, 2020, visited the Kressner Handmaids Orphanage, located at Kodjo-Ashong in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region. They were there to donate five 25kg bags of Rice, Cartons of Oil, detergents, Toilet Rolls, Clothes and footwear for Children, and with an undisclosed among of money to the centre in thanking God for how far He has brought them as Catholic believers born in the month of June.
The coordinator, bro. Anthony Ngissah Assuah who led the delegation made up of five June born members as follows: Sis. Marjorie Mensah Akatey, Bro. Stephen Tandoh, Bro. Anthony Tandoh and Bro. Joseph Seth Yeboah explained that the Noble June Borns family is made up of Catholics born in the month of June. It is not a society that meets regularly or pay dues, but rather a family that appreciates all that God does for them and continuous to do for them in life and during the month of June annually they come together in Thanksgiving to celebrate their month.
He mentioned places they have been to over the years to donate generously to help with Church development and with children and youth development as Follows: St. Maurice Catholic Church, La, (2015), St. Francis of Asissi Catholic Church, Ashele-Botwe, (2016), St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Cantonment, (2017), St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Adenta, (2018), St. Catherine Catholic Church, Burma Camp, (2019).
The coordinator Bro. Anthony Ngissah Assuah is calling on all Catholic June Borns to associate with this Noble June Borns Family so that together every year as they celebrate their month they can generously put smiles on the faces of others who need assistance for growth in society through outreach and other activities in promoting Gods work.
He thanked all June’s who contributed voluntarily and generously towards this outreach to the Orphanage which has children aged between two and twenty three years. The facility consists of a convent for the reverend sisters, quarters with caregivers’ rooms, a four-unit classroom block, social centre, a pantry, and recreational rooms among others.
The orphanage caters for orphans, the less privileged and vulnerable in society.
