St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Juapong holds inaugural ceremony for new Parish Priest and church committee

Rev. Fr. Vincent Aloysius Agboli was on Sunday November 17 installed as the Parish Priest of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Juapong in the Catholic Diocese of Keta – Akatsi with an inaugural ceremony of a new Church Committee to assist him in his work concelebrated by Vicar General of the Diocese Msgr. Peter Huletey.

The ten (10) member Church Committee was inaugurated after they professed their willingness and readiness to work selflessly according to the dictates of the Church. After the inauguration of the Church Committee, Rev. Fr. Vincent Aloysius Agboli took his oath of office in the presence of the congregation according to the Canon Law of the church and was installed by Msgr. Huletey as the New Parish Priest with the help of the Head Christian Mr. Johnson Akpoh and his Vice Mrs. Rose Tugli.

Msgr. Huletey in his homily admonished the congregation to let go of the past and welcome the break of a new dawn and also let peace reign in their hearts to work together to grow the kingdom of God and also reminded the Parish Priest of his primary purpose as the new shepherd.

The new shepherd for the Parish will man six outstations which comprise Torgorme, Fodzoku, Volo, Ayiwa, Dorfor Adidome and Alabonu.

In Fr. Agboli’s acceptance speech, he promised to be a father to all and will welcome anyone with an open arm who needs his services.

Fr. Agboli has worked at various Parishes in the Diocese some of which include; Keta, Tadzewu and Anloga and later transferred to Juapong to succeed Fr. Johnson Hoeglah on September 30, 2019.
