In a homily to mark the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, Pope Francis has called on Catholics to pray more when things challenge them rather than complain
“It is pointless, even tedious, for Christians to waste their time complaining about the world, about society, about everything that is not right,” he said, adding that, “Complaints change nothing.”
Touching on the lives of Saints Peter and Paul, he said though these were two different personalities, they loved each other as brothers hence the importance of unity in the church.
He said “God did not command us to like one another, but to love one another. He is the one who unites us, without making us all alike.”
