Rt. Hon. Bagbin Makes A Donation Towards Construction Of A Soup Kitchen For The Under Privileged

The Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 paid a visit to Rev. Fr. Andrew Campbell, SVD at the Christ the King Parish.

Rt. Hon. Bagbin, a former Member of Parliament for Nadowli Kaleo constituency, and the elected Speaker of the 8th Parliament of the Fourth Republic visited Fr. Campbell to have discussions on a broad number of issues. He encouraged Fr. Campbell to continue doing his good work for which the world and especially Ghanaians know him for, particularly the work with street children, cured lepers and the underprivileged in society.

The Rt. Hon. Speaker, who is a Roman Catholic pledged his continuous support to Fr Campbell’s humanitarian mission and works.

Rt. Hon. Bagbin donated an amount of Ghs 60,000 to Rev. Fr. Campbell towards the construction of the Mother Teresa Soup Kitchen in the center of Accra and to support the other projects undertaken by Fr. Campbell.

Fr. Campbell on his part thanked the Speaker for his visit and donation. He used the opportunity to call on other benevolent individuals, groups and institutions to support in any way they can to put smiles on the faces of the marginalized in society.
