Past students of Holy Child Donate GH¢60K Worth of Items to support Catholic health facilities

The National Union of Holy Child Past Students Association (NUHOPSA) made a donation of items worth GHS 60,000 to the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC) to support Catholic health facilities across the country at the forecourt of St. Pauline Clinic situated at the National Catholic Secretariat (NCS) in Accra.

The Union presented to the Bishops’ Conference 120 gallons of 5L liquid soap, 280 pieces of 250mL alcohol-base gel hand sanitizers, 300 pieces of 500mL alcohol-base gel hand sanitizer, 36”0 pieces of 750mL WHO alcohol hand rub, 680 pieces of surgical nose masks, 520 pieces of N95 nose masks, 10,500 pairs of gloves, 160 disposable gowns, 25 Veronica buckets and 75 pieces of jumbo size paper towels.

The items were received by the Most Rev Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast and Vice President of the Bishops’ Conference on behalf of the Conference.

He noted that, the Union’s gesture will facilitate the Church’s quest to alleviate the burden on individuals and families amidst the COVID-19 unrest.

He also indicated that, the items will be distributed proportionately regardless of the fact that most of the church’s health facilities are centered in rural areas and further assured the union of the Church’s prayer.

The National President, Mrs. Asor Anyimadu-Antwi on her part revealed that the union has further plans of making donation to the National COVID-19 Trust Fund soon.
