Meet the Priest helping to build chapels for 8 outstations through donations

Fr. Emmanuel Akwasi Fynn, assistant priest of St. Francis De Sales Cathedral in the Archdiocese of Cape Coast has for the past three years embarked on a journey to complete chapel projects started by his predecessors.

He is in charge of 8 outstations precisely St John the Baptist in Akoanso-Kobina Ansa, Holy Family- Ohiaba, St. Joseph -Eduma, St Simon -New Ebu, St Simon -Old Ebu, St. Charles Lwanga -Abuenu, St Mary- Amisakrom Ekroful and St Anthony- Brebia.

Fr. Fynn tells Angelus News he embarked on these projects because “the strength (membership, finances, spirituality) of these churches in all its ramifications is just appalling. I just have to do the best I can to improve it, at least, to a stage I can.”

A chapel has been built and roofed for St Joseph in Eduma but needs plastering, floor tiles and pews and New Ebu with a membership of about 100 has a small building while a new chapel project is ongoing to accommodate all while foundation has been laid for the outstation in Abuenu. Old Ebu needs pews and reroofing as the current building leaks.

The outstation in Ohiaba has a 2 -plot land to be registered and needs assistance to build a chapel. It was started in 2012 but mass is held in a classroom nearby and currently has 20 members.

The church in Akoanso-Kobina Ansa with a membership of 30 needs roofing materials (woods, nails, roofing sheets) urgently as mass is held under a shade and congregants are left at the mercy of the weather whenever it rains. Due to the absence of light, weekday masses are not celebrated.

He is therefore calling for support to accomplish these projects started and more. Donations are welcome via MTN mobile money contact 0543993304 or through NIB accout number 2011066968501 or send an email to emmanuelakwasifynn@gmail.com to provide items to support the chapel projects.
