The youth of Kpando Deanery, one of three deaneries of the Catholic Diocese of Ho has rounded up their maiden rally with a thanksgiving Mass celebration on Sunday 25th August, 2019.
The 3-day rally which took place from 23rd to 25th of August, 2019 was under the auspices of the Diocesan Youth Council and held at the Immaculate Conception Parish, Kpando, on the theme, “The Role of Catholic Youth in the Evangelization Process”
Over 200 youth from all nine parishes in the deanery and some visitors from the Kumasi Archdiocese participated in the event as they received enlightenment on the theme and other subjects including relationship and marriage.
Among the facilitators were, the Deanery Youth Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Carl Agboada and Rev. Fr. Dodzi Afu who spoke on the theme and relationship and marriage respectively in accordance with the church’s teachings.
Other activities that amrked the rally include fun games and a inter-parish Bible Quiz.
The Deanery Youth Chaplain Fr. Carl Agboada in his homily during the thanksgiving Mass, admonished the youth to be disciplined and purposeful in life.
He urged them to be worthy ambassadors of Jesus Christ and mother church, and also take their spiritual life seriously and entreated them to strive for Holiness and always stand tall among all other youths in the society.
