All the 86 students of Rosa Mystica High School in SS3 class, visited the St. Patrick’s Cathedral today, 12 September 2020, to plead with the Bishop to retain their manager, Fr Rowland Victor Okoli until the end of their NECO Exams
Speaking on behalf of other students, Miss Janet Ebubechukwu Ejimone, said that their purpose of seeing the Bishop was not to challenge his decision; but to plead their manager stays with the student atleast until the end of their NECO exams and SS3 sendforth slated for December 2020
According to them, Fr Okoli has been a their greatest inspiration, a mentor and a father to their academic excellence.
The students who were able to meet with the Diocesan Secretary, Rev. Fr. Michael Muonwe at the Cathedral pleaded with him to convey their message to the Bishop.
In response, the Secretary explained to them about pastoral works in the diocese and told them that it was only the Bishop who could give them a definate answer on the situation. He told them that the bishop was not in town but that he will relay their plea and plight to the Bishop when the returns.
