In their recent meeting held at the Diocesan Pastoral and Training Centre in Koforidua members of KODPA elected new executives to lead the association for the next three years.

Before the election Very Rev. Fr Joseph Afum Attah Asumadu, the immediate past President, who chaired the meeting officially informed members that he has completed his two terms as the President of the association so also are some of the Executive members he worked with during his tenure of office.

Referring to the constitution of KODPA, Fr Asumadu said there was the need to formally dissolve the current executives and constitute an electoral board to see to the election of new Executives. Before he declared the executive board dully dissolved, Fr Asumadu on behalf of the executives thanked the Almighty God for His continued guidance and protection.

He was equally grateful to the Bishop, Most Rev. Joseph Afrifah-Agyekum, for his unflinching support and counsel. He further expressed his appreciation to his fellow executive members and the entire membership of KODPA for their support and cooperation. He requested that all should do well to cooperate with the incoming executive to even perform better than he (Fr Asumadu) and his team did.

The members of the Executive headed by Fr Asumadu included: Very Rev. Fr Stephen Asare (Vice President), Fr Noah Tseko (Secretary), Fr Emmanuel Omane (Assistant Secretary), Fr John Gabriel Owusu Frempong (Financial Secretary), Fr Paul Tordzro (Assistant Financial Secretary), Fr Eric Evans Akahoho (P.R.O) and Fr Richard Dordunu (KODPA Centre Director).

When the outgoing President had declared the Executive dully dissolved, the House nominated Fr Michael Numekevor Jnr. a member of the Association and a Legal Practitioner to be the electoral officer, to see the affairs of the election, assisted by Rev. Fr. Raphael Gyapong Frempong.

At the end of the election, the following priests were chosen as the new executives of the Association for the next three years is June 2021 to June 2024.

The newly elected President on behalf of the executive members used the occasion to thank the House for the trust and confidence reposed in them. He called on all priests to bring their gifts and talents on board that we may have a strong and formidable association in the Diocese. He also thanked the outgone executives for their good work done and promised that the newly elected executives will rely greatly on them for their support, therefore they should avail themselves for the Association.
