As Christians prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ, Reverend Father Andrew Campbell, SVD Parish Priest at Christ the King Catholic Church, Cantonments has called on everyone to Keep Christ throughout this festive season. He says to keep Christ in Christmas is a reminder of Christ’s love for mankind and hence doing away with unpleasant acts.
“Christ came to bring us love to take care of one another, to love one another and to stop the drinking so there’s no more drunk driving,” he said.
He added that when people do not drink and drive, there would be no accidents and deaths which would lead to a Christmas celebration where people would be happy with their family at home and not in the hospital. Christmas is a time for bonding with one another and make merry.
It is also important to extend a helping hand to those in need throughout this season to show them love.
