Here’s everything you need to know about Accra Archdiocese’s new DEPSOCOM director

Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, in consultation with the Archdiocesan College of Consultors, on Saturday, June 20, 2020, appointed Rev. Fr. Blaise Bobi-Attachie as the Director of the Department of Social Communications (DEPSOCOM) of the Archdiocese of Accra.

His outfit is expected to coordinate all the Social Communications platforms of the Archdiocese, which includes the management of Catholic Digest and Radio Angelus, sub-departments under DEPSOCOM Accra, among others.

The new director is currently the Vice President of the Catholic Association of Media Practitioners, Ghana (CAMP-G),

PROFILE

Fr. Blaise was ordained in 2002 by the late Archbishop Dominic Kodwo Andoh and had his first appointment at the St. Kizito Parish as an Assistant Priest.

Other appointments include teacher and Chaplain at St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School at Cantonments, Accra.

Prior to his appointment, he worked at the Catholic Insitute of Business and Technology (CIBT), Accra where he served as Chaplain, Lecturer in Communications, Director of Business and Faith Development Centre (BFDC), and Director of communications.

He is also an Adjunct Lecturer in Communications at St. Paul’s Catholic Seminary, Sowutuom. He also serves currently as the Priest in-Charge of All Saints Catholic Church, Community 11, Tema.
