Good shepherd parish inducts new youth leaders

Seven youth members at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Community Two – Tema have been inaugurated as executives of the Parish Youth Council (PYC).

In his remarks, Rev. Fr. Bernard Adu Tawiah Sor urged the new executives to allow the spirit of God to direct their paths and to be selfless in their duties. He further entreated all parishioners especially the youth to support and cooperate with the new team as they work diligently during this time where young Catholics are leaving the church. He added that he had trust and was certain of a good delivery of assigned roles.

On accepting the role, Council Chairperson Miss Vennera Adedjeh-Mensah appreciated the work of the past administration and resolved to continue where they left off. She encouraged all parish youth to join at least one youth group to enable the youth and church grow at large.

A team comprising of newly elected executives and representatives from the various societies, successfully took their oaths of office and were prayed over as they begin their journey.

The ceremony took place on Sunday, 7th March, 2021 at both First and Second masses.
