Ghana Catholic Bishops entreat all to avail themselves to vaccinate against COVID-19

The National Catholic Secretariat has released a letter signed by the President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Most Rev. Philip Naameh, to the public encouraging the Clergy, all Catholic faithful and the entire country, to avail themselves to be vaccinated against COVID 19 following the arrival of the first Consignment of 600,000 vaccines in the country.

The Religious leaders referred to the fact that we have experienced success with vaccines in the past with diseases such as smallpox, measles, polio, influenza, etc. hence we are convinced that vaccines could be the answer to the COVID-19 pandemic, despite the concerns raised by anti-vaccine groups and other groups who advocate otherwise.

They also encourage all to see the arrival of the vaccine(s) as an answer to our prayer and avail ourselves of the opportunity to be vaccinated.
