Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC) Calls For An End To The Military Brutalities

The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC) has called for an end to the military brutalities on innocent citizens and advocates appropriate sanctions for the perpetrators.

In a release signed by the President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC) and the Metropolitan Archbishop of Tamale, Most Rev. Philip Naameh, dated July 2, 2021, stated that they are horrified to see videos of brutalities and inhumane treatments meted out to innocent citizens in the Upper West Regional Capital, Wa, by a group of military men.

This comes barely 72 hours after the GCBC issued a statement to condemn the killing of two young men at Ejura by some military men.

Below is the full statement.
