The Holy Father Pope Francis’ has presented his post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation on the Amazon.
The document came about as a result of a Special Assembly of the Synod of Bishops for the Pan- Amazonian Region, held on the theme “Amazon: new paths for the Church and for an integral ecology.”
The synod took place in the Vatican from October 6-27, 2019.
Key on the table for discussion was a move to allow married men to be ordained for the need of the region.
It is however clear that the Pope has ruled against the move leaving many disappointed.
