Fr. Atta-Donkor installed first Pastor of St. Mary’s Parish

Very Rev. Fr. Raphael Atta-Donkor has been installed as the first Parish Priest of St Mary’s Catholic church, Koluedor, Ada in a ceremony on Sunday, December 22, 2019, following his appointment by Most Rev John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp Metropolitan Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra in September 2019.

The installation ceremony was presided over by Very Rev Fr Emmanual Gosu, the dean of the Tema -Battor Deanery and Parish Priest of Corpus Christi, Sakumono and was attended by several faithful of the St Mary’s Parish and its outstations, the traditional authorities of Koluedor, family, and friends, the knights and ladies of marshall and St John International and well-wishers.

In his homily, the principal celebrant, Rev Fr. Gosu congratulated the new Parish Priest and tasked him to take care of the sheep placed in his care and learn from Christ Jesus the good shepherd, and discharge his duties as stated in his letter of appointment.  He further encouraged the faithful of the parish to always pray for the new pastor.

Fr. Atta-Donkor was presented with the tabernacle’s keys of the Parish and the roman missal, symbols of his mandate as Parish Priest during the installation rites.

The mass was con-celebrated by Frs. Albert Apewe Amonzem, the associate pastor of the parish, Dennis Opoku, Christopher Sackey, Felix Quarshie, and Prince Adelaayitar
