Secretary to the Bishop of the Keta-Akatsi Diocese, Rev. Fr. Reuben Adzakey has cautioned members of IMCS Pax Romana not to allow their political affiliations cloud their visions and ambitions.
He was speaking as the guest speaker, representing the Bishop of the Diocese at the opening ceremony of the 2020 Zonal Ladies Summit of Zone 3, on Friday, February 22, 2020 at the Akatsi Pastoral Centre.
He noted that “this year is an election year and this days people treat you or behave towards depending on the political eye with which they see you”
“People attach you to a political party automatically from the way you talk, whether what you are saying is true or not,” he said
He further stated that, “Let us remember that, we all have Mary as our mother and model and whenever we gather as her children, let us not allow political colours or affiliations to cloud our visions and missions”
He, on behalf of the Bishop of the Keta-Akatsi Diocese, Most Rev. Gabriel Edoe Kumordjie, SVD wished participants a successful zonal summit.
The Zonal Ladies Summit is an annual summit organized by the Coordinators of Zone 3 to foster catholic identity among catholic students in various institutions in the Greater Accra, Volta and Eastern Regions of Ghana.
This year’s 4 day summit was on the theme “Mary, the model for every Pax lady”
