Diaconate Ordination of Wiawso Diocese

The Bishop of Wiawso Diocese, Most Rev. Joseph Francis Kweku Essien has ordained Maxwell Nyarko, for service as deacon at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Sefwi Bekwai.

The ordination mass, presided over by Bishop Essien was attended by scores of priests, family and lay people. Among the priests were Very Rev. Frs. Anthony Jones Mensah, Chancellor of the Diocese, who serves as Parish Priest of St. Benedict Parish; Joseph Xanttippus Otoo, Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Awaso; Christopher Adu-Gyamfi, Parish Priest of St. Agartha Parish, Sefwi Asafo; Paul Agyeman-Duah Mensah, Parish Priest of St. Andrew Parish, Aboduam; and some priests from Goaso Diocese.

In a homily, Fr. Adu-Gyamfi reiterated the ordinandus to be very prayerful and relentless in his new duties saying; “diaconate is a decree of service”.

The priest charged the congegrants to keep their priests in for prayers.

Rev. Maxwell Nyarko, the ordained deacon in a brief remarks thanked God and Mother Mary for been there for him everyday. He further thanked Bishop Essiens, the priests and church members for leaving their duties to join him to thank lord through his ordination.
