Konongo Mampong Diocesan Priest Association (KOMDPA) in the Konongo Mampong Catholic Diocese has donated Personal Protective Equipments (PPE’s) to Pope John Paul II Health Centre and other nine Catholic health centers in the Konongo Mampong Catholic Diocese to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus in Ghana.

The donation which was made at a short presentation ceremony at Pope John Paul II Health Centre at Jamasi of Ashanti region includes Tissue paper, Hand towels, Robing alcohol, liquid soap, surgical face mask, hand sanitizers, examination gloves and many more.

Most. Rev. Joseph Osei Bonsu (Konongo Mampong Catholic Diocesan Bishop) said the items raised by the priests in the Diocese were meant to improve the living conditions Health workers and to demonstrate that they were concerned about the people’s welfare in the fight against Covid 19.

Bishop Osei Bonsu advised Ghanians to support the vulnerable on any little resource each can contribute to ease pressure in this hard times.

Mr. Thomas Mensah (Hospital Administrator) on behalf of the other nine health centres expressed gratitude to Konongo Mampong Diocesan Priest Association (KOMDPA) for their support .

“As a result of the Covid 19, we see ourselves to be facing some form of challenges and we call on the citizen’s to come into our aid.” He appealed.
