Christ The King Parish Marshall Association Donates To Weija Leprosarium

Members of the Knights and Ladies, Christ the King Marshall Association, Cantonment, Accra have donated items worth ghs 4, 500, a cheque of ghs 2,000 and a cash amount of ghs 3,100 to inmates and staff of the Weija Leprosarium, in Accra.

A total number of about 25 members of the noble order took part in the visitation and charity work, led by Sister President Angelina Aikins. The President said that the association always give to charity and the less privilege in the society. She said that this particular activity was encouraged by the Christ the King parish where societies and groups in the parish go out to organizations of need and support. Last year, the President continued, members of the noble order were at the Orthopedic Training Center, Nsawan to donate to the center, and this year Weija Leprosarium is the beneficiary.

The delegation prayed for the inmates and also visited those who were bedridden in their rooms. Madam Victoria Dadze, a nurse at the Leprosarium and the inmates expressed their profound gratitude to the entire association for their love and support.
