Members of the Catholic Association of Media Practitioners of Ghana,(CAMP-G) will join their counterparts from other west African Countries in Abidjan from 8th to August 16th  to deliberate on “Electoral Processes in Africa: The Role and Responsibility of the Media in Preserving Social Peace”.

Speaking in an interview with Angelus News, General Secretary of the Association, Robert Dela Mawuenyegah

said the conference will give members of the Association a platform to share ideas with other Catholic media practitioners, afford them some excursion opportunities as well as give them an avenue to establish working contacts with other media workers.

“Some members of the Catholic Media Practitioners will leave Ghana for Ivory Coast on Thursday, August 8, for a refresher programme that will give them an opportunity to reflect on the role and responsibility of the media in preserving social peace. It is a crucial topic for us because going into election 2020, Catholic media practioners must stand out in their practice. Again, it will afford members the opportunity to explore other parts of the continent, they will get to establish contacts as well as have some fun”he said.

The Ghana delegation will leave Accra tomorrow August 8 under the auspices of the President of the Association, Mrs. Victoria Lugey.
