Most Rev. Joseph Francis Kweku Essien, Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Wiawso will ordain three Reverend Deacons on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at the Star of the Sea Cathedral, Takoradi.
This was revealed in a statement signed by Very Rev. Fr. John Baptist Attakrum, Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi on September 23, 2020.
Unlike the previous years where Deacons were ordained on a Saturday, some exceptions have been made for this year. As a result, this year’s ceremony will be on a Sunday.
The Priestly Ordination ceremony, as stated in the communication will require the attendance of all priests in the diocese. Anticipatory masses are therefore recommended to take place on 24th October in various parishes.

Rev. Justice Kenya Azane (Janay Wharf)
Rev. Stephen Awortwe Baidoo (Kwesimintsim)
Rev. Ernest Boateng (Asankrangwa)
