Baptised and sent: Meet the Kenyan priest connecting with the faithful in extraordinary ways

With barely two days into the Extraordinary Mission Month, Angelus News has sighted a heartwarming picture of a Kenyan Priest connecting with the ordinary people in extraordinary ways.

In the picture, Fr. Joshua Mege, who returned from studies from Rome to his home country about two weeks ago, is seen giving an elderly woman a good head shave.

In a Facebook post, the priest shared the picture with the words, “Going back to the old days. Grandma is forever bae.”

The Extraordinary Missionary Month was announced by Pope Francis to mark  the 100th anniversary of Pope Benedict XV’s Apostolic Letter Maximum Illud.

The theme chosen is “Baptized and Sent: The Church of Christ on Mission in the World.”

The initative  aims to awaken the awareness of the meaning of mission and reinvigorate the sense of responsibility for proclaiming the Gospel with new enthusiasm.

Be like Fr. Mege.
