Accra West Grand KSJI visits Archbishop John Bonaventure Kwofie after Novena

The Accra West Grand Commandery and Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St John International have presented a prayer bouquet and an amount of cash to cater for the medical bills of the Chief Shepherd of the Accra Archdiocese, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie.

The visit was after the Grand Commandery and Ladies Auxiliary held a Novena from Friday,21st August, 2020 to Saturday, 29th August, 2020 for the divine healing of the Archbishop, who is ill. 

Maj. Dr. Michael Doggu, Convener of the Accra West Grand joint Liturgical Committee tells Angelus news, the Novena was held because “it is part of our core mandate and our strong believe to spiritually defend the church and its hierarchy through our faith in prayers as spiritual weapon that conquers all, not excluding sickness.”

He added that “the Novena is our spiritual bouquet for our beloved Archbishop to speedily recover to continue his Pastoral Apostolate on the souls of the many faithful under his care.”

The Novena was spearheaded by Very Rev. Fr. Maj. Benjamin Ohene and Maj. Dr. Michael Doggu at the instance of Brig. Gen. Prof. Peter Tuffuo Asubonteng , Accra West Grand Commandery President in collaboration with Noble Sis. Petrina Coker, Grand Auxiliary President.
