“The word of God is an indispensable part of the life of every Christian and a trustworthy companion on our journey of faith. This calls for a better understanding of the scriptural passages the liturgy proposes to us daily. This is what the Living With Christ Missalette has brought to the doorstep of the Catholic faithful in the past five years in the Archdiocese of Accra and beyond,” Archbishop Kwofie said.
The prelate further expressed his appreciation to his predecessor for the initiative. He noted that it the missalette is essential in sustaining the faith of God’s people.
“I am indeed grateful to my predecessor Most Rev. Gabriel Charles Palmer Buckle, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast, who introduced this user-friendly Missalette in the Archdiocese of Accra so that Christ’s Faithful would have easy access to the liturgical readings and so ensure better participation at liturgical celebrations,”
“It is a great initiative at a time when our Catholic faithful are confronted with the challenges of using Scriptures as light for our path (cf. Ps 119:105) and sustaining our faith firmly in the revealed and written word of God,” he averred.
He opined that “The production of the Missalette has become a practical tool for Pastors of souls, lay preachers, catechists and chaplains to carry out their teaching ministry more effectively.
