34 Tertiary Students benefit from Archbishop Andoh Fund

The Archbishop Andoh Education Endowment Fund (AAEEF) has today awarded scholarships valued at GH¢52,000.00 to some selected tertiary students from the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra.

The disbursement was done at a short ceremony at the St. Theresa Catholic Church, Kaneshie and was attended by the beneficiaries, managers of the fund, some lay faithful, and Priests of the Archdiocese.

 

The scholarship is to cover the tuition of the 34 beneficiaries for the 2020/2021 academic year.

The beneficiaries were drawn from the various tertiary institutions in the country; UCC, KNUST, Regent University, University of Ghana, Ghana Telecom University, GIJ, CIBT, etc, and includes a student undertaking his doctoral studies.

 

The Fund was established in 1999 to support needy but brilliant students in the Archdiocese from Basic to Tertiary level including Technical and Vocational education and has been committed to awarding scholarships every year.

The beneficiaries were urged to learn hard, emulate examples of successful personalities in society and leave legacies as an example to others.

The Management of the Fund also appealed to all and sundry to support the fund by becoming a “Friend of the Fund.”
